"Mad Sisyphus- New thoughts on an Old Book", an article by Carlton Davis, is selected by Psychology Today as an essential read on its website. The Article which takes a fresh look at Marya Hornbacher's Book "Madness" concludes that the mythic person, Sisyphus, she mentions in one of her passages is a great metaphor for bipolar disorder. The person with this mental illness carries the rock of bipolar disorder with them all their lives, but the suffering associated with this burden can be mitigated by acceptance.
