London Boy Builds Radio Station and Media Brand When Only Twelve

 At the age of just twelve (2010), James Gilmore (London, UK) started internet radio station, W!ZARD Radio Station, for fun with one of his friends. What he did not know at the time was that, three years later, W!ZARD Radio Station would be one of the leading online teen radio stations in the UK and he would also own a record label (W!ZARD Records), events management company (W!ZARD Events), sales company (W!ZARD Sales), charity (#LOVEgiving), education company (#LOVEschool), news gathering company (W!ZARD News) and a magazine (The Brainstorm) all under the banner of 'W!ZARD Radio Media'.

Now at the age of fifteen, James battles with school exams and running his company (which currently staffs over 50 employees). Apart from running the company, his role is also to organise celebrity interviews – including interviews with actors and celebrities (including Daniel Radcliffe and Jessie Eisenberg), politicians and a whole host of other newsworthy people. His developed teen radio station boats thousands upon thousands of teenage listeners every weekend and he uses the platform to get teenagers interested in politics and giving back to the community – as well as playing pop music to keep them entertained.

Last year and earlier this year, his charity (#LOVEGIVING) launched an awareness campaign in partnership with 'charity : water' to educate teens about the poor quality of water in poorer nations and he has also featured interviewed with criminals (such as ex-Mafia boss Michael Franzese) who teach his audience not to take the wrong paths in life.

James Gilmore lives a surreal and fascinating life – battling with ever growing pressure from school exams and his company. However, through all of this one quality has never changed within him: If he wants something, he doesn't wait for someone to give it to you. He goes out and does it himself.
