Los Angeles, CA - July 27, 2017 - The nation's leading online directory used by consumers to connect with local Medicare Supplement agents has marked a milestone reports the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance.

"We are pleased to mark the 500th Medicare Supplement agent who has added their listing to the Association's directory," announced Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance (AAMSI).   The organization relaunched the online Zip Code-based directory several months ago.

"Consumers told us they wanted a resource to connect with a local Medicare insurance agents who can provide information specific to their area," Slome noted.  Available Medicare insurance options available can vary  by state and even by Zip Code Slome shares.

The Association online directory allows consumers free access to see the directory without having to enter any personal information.  "Our consumer research found many individuals were frustrated by having their information sold to multiple insurance agents who would consistently telephone their homes," Slome adds.  "We made our directory available without having to enter any information.  You see local Medicare insurance agents but they don't see you."

With the imminent Medicare Open Enrollment that runs from October 15 through December 7 in 2017 the Association anticipates greatly increased traffic.  "We are very pleased to have achieved this milestone because it will help consumers connect with agents who are hopefully in close proximity," Slome notes.  "However, there are still many Zip Code areas available for agents who want to be seen."
