Lifesaving Resources (www.lifesaving.com) will be conducting their 20th annual INTERNATIONAL ICE RESCUE INSTRUCTOR ACADEMY, February 20 - 23, in Portland, Maine.  This intensive and comprehensive 4-day training program is designed to train First Responders as Ice Rescue Technicians and to certify and authorize them as Ice Rescue Instructors.  Upon successful completion of the Academy, graduates will be authorized to conduct Ice Rescue Awareness, Operations, and Technician level courses, on behalf of their own departments, and to certify their personnel upon successful completion of this training.

These curriculums meet/exceed NFPA 1670 & NFPA 1006 Standards for Technical Rescue.  And, the curriculums are internationally standardized.  Currently, Lifesaving Resources has over 350 authorized instructors from throughout the U.S. and Canada.  

Tuition includes single-occupancy lodging from Thursday through Sunday; meals from Thursday dinner through Sunday lunch; all books and materials; and 4-days of intensive and comprehensive training on and through the ice, including Night Operations.
