Legal Industry Evolution Requires New Breed of Law Firm Leaders

International business consultancy the Closers Group announced today that its CEO Allan Colman will deliver the keynote address at the annual general meeting of Lawyers Associated Worldwide in Paris, France, taking place October 30 through November 3. The presentation, Exceptional Leadership in the Closing Zone, inspires lawyers to become extraordinary leaders who not only can develop strategic business initiatives for their firms, but also have the discipline and drive to implement them throughout multiple offices and diverse practice areas. In addition to the keynote, Dr. Colman will conduct two workshops on strategic business road-mapping along with the company's U.K partner Gill Green, Managing Director of Touchstone Growth.

The meeting, hosted by Paris-based Bernet Castagnet Wantz & Associes, brings together participants from 100 independent law firms located in more than 180 major commercial centers throughout the world. LAW members are taking advantage of the efficiencies globalization creates to actively expand their operations and relationships into new domestic and foreign markets.

Colman, a recognized expert in growing business, regularly surveys lawyers from firms of every size and location and frequently meets with managing partners. From these activities, he has concluded that although most lawyers are eager to develop books of business, the training, support and sales culture necessary to encourage every lawyer to become a rainmaker is lacking at many law firms. A solution, he says, is to turn law firm managers into leaders empowered to promote change. Because of the state of the world economy, forward-thinking firms must transform to remain successful.
