LOS ANGELES —The second in our four-part series of June 2017 ratings overviews deals with commercial news/talk outlets; our special feature summary of public news/talk stations was posted last Friday (7/21).
This analysis is comprised of PPM-market news/talk facilities that rank in the top 20 (6+) in the June 2017 ratings period, which covered May 25 – June 21.
In remarkably similar (6+) June 2017 profiles, the typical PPM-market commercial news/talk station has a Monday-Sunday average quarter hour share of 3.65 and finishes at #11.29, compared to a 3.37 AQH/#11.51 ranking for representative public news/talk stations in our sample.
Nielsen Audio only releases audience estimates for facilities that subscribe to its services. Owing to that reason, ratings stats in this exclusive overview are limited to stations that pay Nielsen Audio for its data.
