Lifesaving Resources will be conducting their 13th annual INTERNATIONAL WATER RESCUE TRAIN-THE-TRAINER ACADEMY, May 17 - 20, in Portland, Maine.  This comprehensive, intensive, and physically demanding program is designed to provide First Responders with the knowledge, skills, and tools to conduct Water Rescue and Swiftwater Rescue courses within their own organizations/agencies.  Those who successfully complete this 4-day training program will be authorized as Water Rescue Instructors and able to conduct Water Rescue Awareness, Operations and Technician level, as well as Swiftwater Rescue Technician, courses.  These curriculums meet/exceed NFPA 1670 and NFPA 1006 Standards.

Tuition includes all books and materials, meals, and lodging, as well as 4-days of intensive training.  Training venues include classroom (11.5 hours), swimming pool (6 hours), rivers (6 hours), and ocean (3 hours).  Instructor candidates must be in good physical condition, strong swimmers, and comfortable in swimming pool, river, and ocean environments.  For information/registration, please access the Lifesaving Resources website or the Water Rescue Train-the-Trainer Academy Registration page, or call 207/967-8614.
