Institute of Management Consultants Offers Online Survey Course Mastering Management Consulting

The Institute of Management Consultants USA (IMC USA, www.imcusa.org) announces that its foundational webinar series, Mastering Management Consulting, is currently available online. The program is designed for entry-level consultants, as well as for experienced consultants who are moving from a firm to independent consulting practice or re-positioning an existing practice. 

The Mastering Management Consulting program covers the essential skills and foundational knowledge a Management Consultants must have to add maximum value for their clients. According to IMC USA VP of Professional Learning, Loraine Huchler, Fellow of IMC USA, "We have a variety of consultants in the program this year, including new management consultants transitioning from corporations, consultants going on their own after years with a firm, and existing management consultants who just want to refresh their skills or recast their practice in a new direction. The interaction between attendees and the instructor is dynamic and fast-paced, providing added value to live attendees and to those who purchase and download the webinars on-demand." 

IMC USA's Mastering Management Consulting is a survey course with 12 topics (16 sessions) organized into four modules. The modules include:

  • Core Competency (the state of the consulting industry and core competencies required to be a successful consultant)
  • Ethical Challenges (understanding experiences, constraints and issues; defining your own ethical framework
  • Consulting Process (defining the scope of engagement, writing proposals & project plans, research & data gathering, finding solutions, implementation & disengagement
  • Practice Management (marketing & managing client relationships, managing your consulting practice, maintaining a competitive advantage in the marketplace for your consulting practice). 

Mastering Management Consulting webinars are available via a live webinar experience with interaction between instructors and attendees, as well as on-demand via recorded webinars. The Consulting Process module begins on Thursday, March 22 at 12 pm ET (9 am PT).
