The House Judiciary Committee held its first public impeachment hearing with four legal experts to discuss the constitutional framework for potentially drawing up articles of impeachment against President Trump, on Capitol Hill in Washington D.C. on Wednesday, December 4.

A day earlier the House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) released a sweeping 300-page impeachment report outlining evidence of what it calls President Donald Trump’s wrongdoing toward Ukraine which can serve as a blueprint for the debate over whether Trump should be removed from office.

Testifying at the hearing for the Democrats were Noah Feldman of Harvard Law School, Michael Gerhardt of the University of North Carolina Law School and Pamela Karlan of Stanford Law School. Jonathan Turley, a George Washington University law professor testified for the Republicans.
