It's an anniversary of Christmas Eve's past and present- where do old stories go?
They are rediscovered, reworked, and republished. They become back list. They are digitized and reformulated, ridiculed and more. They are reworked like KPCC's Christmas Carol redux or singing Hallelujah because it restores us whether we are thinking about it or not.
In a time of capitalism being held to account in popular fiction, Charles Dickens, has entertained us for years.
Just like Star Wars "Rogue" is transforming our winter gloom by entertaining us with what we can be, could be, might be in a literary genre, a cinematic gestalt, and a cultural renewal exploring the hero's journey, Space and community…so we return to stories to make meaning of the holiday, our lives and our responsibilities to others.
We are meaning making story makers who need to be seen, hear, and spoken to or with in order to feel restored, reminded, realigned, and regulated in a way towards a new mime or back to what makes our path meaningful.
For this holiday season, thank you. We are grateful for you reading our psas this year.
We are reposting "Tostadas and Angels" for Los Angeles online.
We are posting landing pages you can review to consider a year end gift. The Arts are considered more and more important in exploring our potential.
