This week, I worked with a brilliant Sales leader who was stuck in his old mindset of “I’ll do it myself because I can do it better than anyone else.”  This was killing his perception, despite his great results. Of course that’s a false belief, but living it when it’s worked so well for you in the past is tough to give up. And you know what FEAR stands for – False Evidence Appearing Real!
What he had to do was to accept that at his level, he could no longer play all the positions on the field. Our survey data and video coaching made that incredibly clear to him! He can see now that letting others do things at 80% of his ability, then coaching them up would change his game – and perception!
