Horse Races Now Releases App for Xbox 360

LEXINGTON, KY - Horse Races Now is pleased to announce that our popular mobile application is set to take the sport of horse racing by storm with a new Xbox 360 version, which just debuted on the Xbox Consol.

The Horse Races Now Xbox version is packed with features that allow fans to follow their favorite races, horses, trainers and jockeys.  It also provides racing information for current fans and is expected to have a major impact on horse racing in America by appealing to new and younger fans. The app has the potential of reaching over 60 million consoles worldwide, a market larger than most cable or top satellite companies in the U.S.

On Xbox 360 racing fans have instant access to racing information for tracks across America, and fans can get information on their favorite horses, and watch videos of a specific race or races streamed live or archived for on demand playback. The new app, compatible with Xbox 360, is available as a free download directly from the Xbox Marketplace and will put horse racing front and center next to other great sports applications on the console from Major League Baseball, the NFL, and the NBA.

"We developed this Xbox App because we want to show the sport to as many young fans as possible to encourage the growth of this sport," says McPeek. "By offering a younger demographic a new sport they can follow with a minimum investment of time the industry will gain millions of new fans. My personal investment in this project is my way to 'give back' to a sport I love and support."

The Horse Races Now Xbox version offers a full complement of live racing feeds, race replays, integration with favorites from your iPhone or Android device, and other popular features found in the mobile app such as:

  • Overnight entries for upcoming races
  • Streaming live video and audio from participating North American racetracks
  • Results and payoffs delivered quickly
  • Immediate Race Replays, going back two years in time
  • Ability to follow your favorite racetracks, horses, trainers and jockeys
  • Search engine to find race replays from 45 participating North American tracks

The Horse Races Now Xbox version offers a second screen experience using the popular Xbox Smart glass technology so users can do two things at once, such as watching a live race video while checking on race entries. The free download is the first horse racing app ever developed for Xbox.

"Horse racing is a historic and exciting sport and the only reason it trails behind football, basketball, soccer and other sports in fan interest is because we have not done a good job telling our story to fans," said McPeek. "My hope is that the Xbox App will help bring the racing industry to the forefront of American sports so that fans follow the sport every day and not just when the Kentucky Derby, Belmont or Preakness are running."

The smartphone versions of Horse Races Now can be downloaded free at either iTunes or Google Play.

About Sue McPeek

Sue McPeek grew up in a career military family and is a graduate of Colorado State University.
