Wonderscript focuses on digital content, data analysis and digital strategy. The New York-based agency was launched last year by James Beechinor-Collins, a Text100 (now Archetype) alum who was previously chief digital officer and North America regional director at the Next 15 unit. Wonderscript co-founder is James Holland, a former Edelman SVP of digital, corporate and public affairs.

Both Beechinor-Collins and Holland now join Highwire as executive VPs. They’ll remain stationed in New York. The Wonderscript brand is being retired in light of the acquisition.

Highwire principal Carol Carrubba told O’Dwyer’s that the agency acquired Wonderscript to deepen its digital offerings.

“Digital services represent the fastest growing part of our business and Wonderscript’s expertise will only accelerate this expansion,” Carrubba said. “We are already seeing an increase in demand for virtual events and digital engagements as clients reimagine sales, marketing and communication strategies in this new environment. We are excited to be able to support technology companies in this transition with the storytelling and digital talent that can have a real impact.”

Highwire, which was founded in 2008, rebranded from its former moniker, Borders + Gratehouse, in 2013. The San Francisco-based agency last year posted nearly $18 million in net fees, according to O’Dwyer’s rankings of PR firms.
