The quest of wedding businesses to rank for their important wedding key words on Google is a continually moving target to figure out. It now takes an integrated approach to marketing way beyond the typical SEO tactics that are touted like link building and effective Title and Mega Tags. Other factors include how many likes you have on Facebook, how many reviews you have, the age of your domain name, how often you update your site and the relevance of your content.

Here is a new criteria. Google is factoring in its ranking algorithm and favoring web pages that are encrypted.

Google hopes that developers taking this added precaution will end up protecting against hackers breaking into websites and stealing users’ information. Having your website hacked can have severe consequences.

Protecting the security of your site is a great reason alone to encrypt the pages but the prospect of better ranking makes the investment even more practical.
