GREATEST SPORTS DY NASTY EVER

As a former four-time All American Decathlete, I’m deeply proud of the USA Track and Field team’s performance last month at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon.

Over three decades, it’s been our honor to work with Nike and USA Track and Field—and the sport’s amazing athletes, coaches, officials, and people.

In a warm-up for the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, this was the first track and field world championship to be held on U.S. soil. And the Americans delivered an unforgettable performance: Winning the most medals ever—33 medals, 13 of them gold. By contrast, no other country won more than 4 gold medals or 10 in total.

This continues what experts believe may be history’s greatest sport dynasty—the USA’s performance in track and field across two centuries of remarkable and world-defining victories in the Olympics . . . and now the World Championships.

Still, building to Los Angeles, USA Track and Field has plenty of work to do to continue to bolster this historical success and create a new generation of fans for a sport that rests deep in my own heart.

Across the 1990s, working closely with Nike and USA Track and Field, we built strategic plans to help drive this great dynasty further forward and increase the value of the franchise—one of the most sacred in all of sports.

Over the last three years, we’re honored to have worked with the USA Track and Field Board of Directors and their elite athletes and members to develop a new and bold strategic plan for maximizing performance, visibility, and brand value—see this article in the Los Angeles Times.

Building to this century’s first Olympics on U.S. soil, in 2028, here’s wishing all our friends at Nike and USA Track and Field fantastic luck in continuing and advancing the greatest dynasty in all of sports.
