Computer users who prefer open-source word processing programs to commercial programs such as Microsoft Word can benefit from the new additions to the sites OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net. The sites have hundreds of new Open Office and Libre Office forms, charts and other printables, all free to download and print.
"OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net have hundreds of the most popular templates from my FreePrintable.net sites in .ODT and .ODS format rather than as DOC files," explained Kevin Savetz, the sites' creator. "These free printables range from medical and business forms stationery to flyer templates."
There are 30 new printables at OpenOfficeTemplates.com, including family trees, certificates, yearly calendars, receipts, and resumes.
LibreOfficeTemplates.net has similar new additions, plus shopping lists, financial forms, a fax template and planning lists.
"The free programs Open Office or Libre Office work really well, but sometimes DOC files just don't open correctly," Savetz said. "That's why I created the free templates at OpenOfficeTemplates.com and LibreOfficeTemplates.net."
There are more than 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
