This year's Peace Sunday is being sponsored by the Unity-and-Diversity World Council, One Global Family Foundation, Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace, and hosted by the IMAN Cultural Center.
At noon there will be a "Justice Luncheon" (12 – 2pm), co-sponsored by Interfaith Communities United for Justice and Peace (ICUJP), featuring speakers Steve Rohde, Eisha Mason, and Rev. Carolyn Wilkens, with music by Stefani Valadez.
The main afternoon Peace Sunday stage program (2:30pm to 5pm) features speakers Tad Daley (author and activist), environmentalist Andrew Ellis, Afghan activist Samira Abrar, multimedia presentations 'We Carry the Dream' video music tribute to Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr and the trailer of the 'Women Wage Peace'documentary produced by the Jerusalem Prayer Project, Dr. Linda Groff and a PowerPoint presentation on "Making Peace with the Earth: The Many Challenges of the Anthropocene Age", a "Peace Flash Mob", the Synthaxis Theater Ensemble doing dramatic readings from the UN Declaration of Human Rights, and a World Peace Prayer Pole Ceremony.
Peace Sunday is about strengthening our intention and actions as sacred activists. By collaborating with diverse individuals and groups we provide resources, methodologies, and models to empower peace practitioners of today and tomorrow. We know we are not alone in this endeavor, as we are contributing to the worldwide movement building a sustainable, peaceful world.
IT IS TIME TO STEP UP, ORGANIZE, MOBILIZE, AND ENGAGE! Find your own expression and/or project to adopt. Enjoy the celebration!

Peace Sunday has always featured stimulating speakers, music, displays of participating groups, workshops, and serves as a day of collaborative participation and inspiration. This year's theme is "Sacred Activism: Upholding Environmental Justice and Human Rights."
Peace Sunday is a full day event that includes a Sunday morning Interfaith Service (10am to 11:30am) with inspiring presentations from interfaith leaders and performers. The service will include music by Stephen L. Fiske and Dr. Eloah Shaddai, Qur'an Recitation, candle lighting, and sharing from Interfaith leaders including Laura Lafoia Ava, Swami Shiva, Rev. Doris Davis, Rabbi Mel Gottlieb, Dr. Linda Groff, Dr. Thomas Hedberg, Rev. Felicia Parazaider, Uran Snyder, Sura Das, Ruth Broyde Sharon, Debra & Andre Wan Zyl, Rini Ghosh, and others.
