Free Faxing to Representatives

The free internet fax solution FaxZero.com has reached a milestone: 15 million faxes have been sent via the site since its inception in 2006.

"Reaching 15 million faxes sent just goes to show what a handy, relevant form of communication faxing is," said Kevin Savetz, who has been maintaining online fax resources since 1994. "FaxZero is fast, secure and easy-to-use."

FaxZero lets users send five free three-page faxes a day anywhere in the U.S. or Canada and allows more or longer faxes for $1.99 apiece. An affordable international fax service is also available.

One of the most popular features is the ability to fax members of the U.S. House of Representatives or Senators with just a few clicks via the FaxZero.com website or smartphone. Users simply find their rep on the list, click on the "send them a free fax" link and type in or upload a message. The name and fax number are filled in automatically.

The list of senators and members of Congress is kept current, with verified fax numbers. In recent months, FaxZero has expanded to include a list of "most-faxed" representatives each day, week or month. There's also a guide with tips on whom to address (your own representatives), what to include in the message (be specific) and what tone to take when writing one's representative (respectful).

"I've gotten so much feedback on FaxZero's fax Congress and fax the Senate service," Savetz said. "I'm pleased to offer this way for contituents to make their voices heard. Sometimes, a fax can get the attention an email can't. Also, at times of intense political scrutiny, some representatives' phone lines have become overloaded or, in a few cases, deliberately shut down."

FaxZero users can send five free faxes per day, each a maximum of three pages, to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. FaxZero also offers a premium faxing option for $1.99, with no daily limit and up to 25 pages per fax. The international fax service has prices starting at $2, depending on the nation faxed, that allows users to send faxes to more than 180 countries. FaxZero accepts documents in DOC, PDF and other common file formats.

FaxZero has been featured in publications such as U.S. News, Reuters and PC World. FaxZero.com is part of Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
