FaxZero.com, which lets users fax their representatives in the U.S. Senate and House for free, has just added the ability to instantly send a free fax to state governors.
The site's fax Congress and fax the Senate service has been especially popular as United States citizens seek to make their voices heard on issues ranging from health care to national security.
"This latest addition to FaxZero came after I heard from site users who wanted to contact their governors about voting rights, privacy and other issues relevant to state leadership," explained Kevin Savetz, who founded FaxZero in 2006. More than 15 million faxes have been sent via the site.
The fax governors service has the fax numbers of the governors of all 50 states loaded and ready to send with a simple click.
The governors are listed alphabetically by state. FaxZero also displays the name and representative in the House or Senate by state or territory. If an officeholder doesn't accept faxes, that's noted as well.
Once a constituent finds their rep on the FaxZero list, the name and fax number is prefilled and the user simply clicks on the "send them a free fax" link. They can upload their message or type directly into the form.
Besides updating the site to reflect the 115th U.S. Congress and its new membership, another recent addition to FaxZero was the ability to send a free fax to Attorney General Jeff Sessions.
"Faxing is a great way to make one's voice heard, especially when phone lines are busy and emails may go unanswered," Savetz said. "The fax-your-representative service at FaxZero is free, online and mobile-friendly, making the participation in the political process easy for everyone."
Another feature at FaxZero.com is the ability to see which reps are being faxed the most by day, week or month. There's also a handy guide with tips on how best to reach out to a representative on a policy issue or other matter. Respectful language and brevity are among the suggestions.
FaxZero users can send five free faxes per day, each a maximum of three pages, to anywhere in the U.S. or Canada. FaxZero also offers a premium faxing option for $1.99, with no daily limit and up to 25 pages per fax. The mobile-friendly version allows the easy sending of faxes via a smartphone. FaxZero also offers an international fax service with prices starting at $2 (depending on the nation faxed; there are more than 180 from which to choose.) Users can fax documents in DOC, PDF and other common file formats.
FaxZero has been featured in publications such as U.S. News, Reuters and PC World since it was created in 2006. FaxZero.com is part of Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
