Looking for Wildfire Resiliency, California is on the move.

Los Angeles City and County are prepared with the State and the Federal Government to respond to fire evacuation and disaster along with the Red Cross, the LA Mayor and the Supervisors because Californians are familiar with fire, flood, evacuation, winds, storms, earthquakes and such.  We have 240 languages in Los Angeles and people who live, work, care for families, friends, children, foster youth, and teenagers as well as seniors everyday.  We have a large body of citizens, schools and universities who train Angelinos to be ready, prepared and cooperative in case winds, heat, wildfire, earthquake or circumstances require quick movement for safety.  Pacific Coast Highway closed to provide a route out of Malibu and Topanga or the hills yesterday. Friends, family, and cities cooperated by creating options for evacuation centers to parking in Santa Monica.

We plan ahead to be resilient.  Here despite Veterans Day, Armistice Day (End of WWI 100 years), Krystal Nacht (80 years), and the recent TO Borderline Grill tragedy, city and county residents were on the move to keep people, pets, elders, and friends safe.

Below please find numbers to train for CERT, go give blood, call for directions, get online or on phone trauma and supply or animal care support. 21M people, 226 cities, So Cal is working with State, Regional, County, City Services to be there for our citizens. Thank you to the press, the webmasters, the phone operators, the information providers, and the agency staff members that have kept So Cal so safe. Thank you to voters, the governors, and the leadership/planning that is helping out across our state using GIS, cell phones, radio, social media, and ongoing information on TV, online, and by alerts to continue to update info for safety, health care, shelter, food, water, and information.
