Social media loves December.
Perfect trees, perfect baking, perfect families in matching pajamas.
And then there’s… you.
Your tree might be leaning a little.
Your to-do list has its own to-do list.
Your inner world is a mix of longing, fatigue, warmth, tenderness, and “please no more notifications.”

When real life and holiday fantasy don’t quite balance — you’re not doing it wrong. You’re being honest.
That’s not failure. That’s honesty.
Comparison tends to spike this time of year — not because you’re shallow, but because you’re human.
Holiday imagery is basically designed to stir the ache:
“Why don’t I have that?”
“Why does everyone seem happier than me?”
“What am I missing?”
Here’s what most people forget:
Images are curated.
Your life is lived.
And lived things have texture, nuance, and truth.
Instead of measuring your December against someone else’s highlight reel, try this gentler question:
“What matters to me today?”
And if your answer is something like “quiet,” “simplicity,” “one small joy,” or “ten minutes of breathing room,”
that’s real.
That’s enough.
That’s sane.
If this season is stirring comparison, longing, or the quiet ache of “not enough,” the Healing The Wanting Trilogy was written to help you find your way back to yourself.

You don’t need a perfect December.
Just an honest one.
