Election Law Reform – I’m coming to believe that these three words are the only solution to our government’s troubles. Our elected official find solutions for problems that don’t exist, and for real problems they find solutions that don’t work.

Election finance, term limits and integrity are the issues that I think need addressing.

Candidates are elected based upon their ability to raise money. Which really means they sell their soul and their vote to the highest bidder. Example: In 2018 alone Micheal Bloomberg donated over $90 MILLION DOLLARS to influence federal campaigns alone. Should he have more influence on government than you or me?

Once elected they exploit their office to rake in even more money, resulting in their continual re-election. Example: Orrin Hatch is 84 years old and was elected in 1977 he has served for 41 years, Patrick Leahy is 78 years old and was elected in 1975 serving 43 years.

These elected parasites, have no interest in solving problems. They only want to preserve the problem in such a way so as to make their re-election seem as though the only hope for a. solution. Example: If Obama really wanted to solve the DACA problem he would have granted them amnesty instead of an executive order which was limited to the discretion of the office of the president.

I’d like to hear what you think should be done to solve this unholy trinity, that has subverted the principles so boldly embraced by Lucius Cincinnatus that of a Citizen’s responsibility to serve when needed and than to retire to their civilian life.
