Newton, MA Dr. Mache Seibel, a well-known expert on women's health and founder of My Menopause Magazine, has been featured in Wired Magazine for the development of a female condom with its goals set on safety and pleasure.

Dr. Seibel is an expert on menopause and women's health issues. He is best known for his woman's health-focused magazine, My Menopause Magazine (available for the iPad and iPhone through the Apple Newsstand). Using his vast experience of helping over 10,000 women over the past 30 years, Dr. Seibel created the digital magazine to provide insight, information and inspiration for women before, during and after menopause. It has featured world-class experts and leaders, like NY Times Bestselling Author, JJ Virgin, PBS Host Suzanne Andrews and award-winning director Avis Richards.

Wired Magazine recently published an article titled "Bill Gates and President Bill Clinton on the NSA, Safe Sex, and American Exceptionalism," which highlighted the issues of poverty and AIDS. The article states, "Both organizations [the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation] have made a staggering impact. The Clinton Global Initiative, part of the former president's foundation, claims to have improved the lives of more than 430 million people in 180 countries. The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation has by some estimates saved some 6 million lives and delivered a higher-quality existence to many, many more."

Working towards the same health minded goal, Dr. Mache Seibel and a team at Codax are developing a female condom whose agenda is complementary to its competitors: adding pleasure to STD prevention. "The Femex has a thumb pump attached to inflatable tubules that grasp the male tightly while stimulating the female's G-spot and clitoris." The condom can be worn up to six hours in advance, giving women more control over their sexual health and protection.

In addition to patient care, Dr. Seibel is a national and international speaker, and regularly conducts corporate speaking and workshops. Dr. Seibel is also the founder of HealthRock™, a health education brand that uses music and entertainment to teach health literacy.

You can find out more about Dr. Seibel on his highly informative website: http://www.doctorseibel.com, winner of a Gold Web Health award for Menopause and General Health in 2012.
