?The Tiger Woods infidelity scandal has aroused a great deal of curiosity about sex addicts and sex addiction,? says Houston, who has been researching infidelity for over 16 years. But sex addiction is a highly controversial topic ? one on which even medical professionals don?t agree.?

Houston continues, ?Last month when the topic of sex addiction first came up in connection with Tiger Woods, I received so many questions from my readers, that I compiled a list of 25 behaviors and characteristics common to sex addicts based on information gathered from medical sites.?

Medical Condition, Convenient Excuse, or Publicity Ploy?

?People want to know if Tiger is really addicted to sex, or if the whole thing is just a publicity ploy,? says Houston, who is frequently called on by the media to comment on high profile infidelity and infidelity-related breaking news.

Having interviewed literally thousands of cheaters and infidelity victims of both sexes over the years, Houston observes, ?I?ve encountered many serial cheaters who use sex addiction as an excuse for their marital misbehavior. But this does NOT appear to be the case with Tiger Woods. From what I?ve read, I think Tiger Woods may be one of the 16 million Americans who is truly addicted to sex.?
