Justin Goodman has joined SKDK’s DC Public Affairs practice as an Executive Vice President. He joins from U.S. Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-NY) office, where he spent nearly a decade as a senior communications advisor to the Senator and the Senate Democratic caucus, most recently serving as Communications Director. Prior to his time with Senator Schumer, he managed press and communications at the New York City Council and the Clinton Global Initiative.

Glen Echo Group adds Kelsey Besterman, Lauren Gaydos, Kathryn Porter, Kylee Barton, Alex Edwards and Tiffany Garcia. Besterman joins as a director. She previously served as a senior account manager at Proof Strategies and account manager at Gunster Strategies. Gaydos joins as a director from NTCA–The Rural Broadband Association, where she was a public relations manager. Porter joins as creative project manager. She previously worked at communication agencies in both D.C. and Dubai, UAE, in account service and digital project management roles. Barton joins as a senior associate from the World Resources Institute. As a communications manager there, she developed communications strategies and campaigns targeted toward decarbonizing the private sector. Edwards joins as an associate after a multi-semester Glen Echo Group fellowship. Garcia has been hired as an associate after graduating from George Washington University and completing a Glen Echo Group internship.

Modus Create, a Reston-based digital consulting firm, has acquired France-based Twybee, a firm specializing in the Atlassian platform. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. This year, Modus Create has also acquired Atlas Authority, Tweag and Promptworks. “As we grow our Atlassian footprint in Europe, It was critical that we invested in a company like Twybee,” said Sarah McCasland, chief strategy officer of Modus Create. “Twybee not only adds to our Atlassian capabilities; it represents our continued commitment to enhancing our offering and expanding our global capabilities.” Twybee is headquartered in Lyon, France.
