Silimeo Group, West Street Productions and Nov3rd Group were recognized with a Telly Award for excellence in social impact video, pictured above. The Get-Out-The-Vote spots aimed to engage younger voters and motivate them to vote in the 2020 election. With COVID making it all but impossible to do on-location shoots, the spots were based on dozens of young people who shot their own cell phone video or did Zoom interviews.  The Nov3rd Group is a grassroots organization formed to promote registration and voting in 2020.

LRA PR adds publicist Casey Dufrene and junior publicist Hannah Kim. Dufrene has relocated from Austin, Texas, to join the D.C.-based agency. Kim is a recent graduate of James Madison University.

Octane Public Relations and Advertising has a new brand identity. The D.C.-based agency’s new logo displays a fingerprint that is made up of two intersecting lines. According to a release, this represents “the blending of culture and action, the premise of Octane as a company and its strategic communications approach. African-American and LGBT owned, the agency is provided a unique position to connect with key communities.”
