Ways to Save on Long-Term Care Insurance by Jesse Slome

The latest ways to reduce the cost of long-term care insurance are being shared by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance (AALTCI).

"There are some very valuable tips that we want to share with consumers considering long-term care insurance," explains Jesse Slome, director of the group.  Slome is the author of numerous consumer guides that focus on long-term care and retirement planning.

The Association director cites tips from the 2019-2020 compendium 4 Ways To Reduce The Cost of Long-Term Care Insurance as important information for all consumers considering this important protection.  "I've written extensively on long-term care planning over the past decades with saving money on premium always the most popular topic among individuals," Slome cites.

"It is possible to easily pay much more than you should or need to," Slome explains.  "I don't know anyone who relishes the thought of overpaying for something and, since you really only buy a long-term care insurance policy one time in your life, having these tips can prove of enormous value."

To access the information, visit the Association website or go to www.aaltci.org/long-term-care-insurance/learning-center/ways-to-save-2019.php

In 2019, the Association projects that nearly 60,000 Americans will purchase a traditional long-term care insurance policy and several hundred thousand will purchase a linked-benefit policy that offers long-term care benefits.  "Whichever one you prefer, and both are great ways to plan, it's important to learn as much as you can before making your final decision," Slome recommends.  "Information is power and we try to share as much current and relevant information as possible."

Headquartered in Los Angeles, the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance advocates for the importance of long-term care planning.   Established in 1998, the organization connects consumers with knowledgeable professionals who are independent advisors for no-cost, no-obligation long-term care insurance quotes and policy comparisons.

The American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance and the American Association for Critical Illness Insurance all advocate for the importance of planning and support insurance professionals nationwide.  Jesse Slome, founder and executive director of the organizations, is a leading consumer advocate and author of numerous consumer and professional guides focused on retirement and insurance planning that have been published by governmental agencies and private organizations.
