Crime Report: 34th St. Robbery, 4 GU Incidents

From the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), here are the latest crime and police reports in or near Georgetown.

Dec. 5 – Robbery (Force and Violence): The incident occurred on Nov. 23 in the 1200 block of 34th Street NW. After the suspects forcefully took the victim’s property, they fled the scene and fraudulently used the victim’s credit cards at various establishments. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspects can be seen here.

Dec. 5 – Robbery Investigation: Underway in the 3700 block of 14th Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for a black male in his 20’s, 5’8”-5’9”, black mask, black long-sleeve shirt, and black pants.

Dec. 5 – Robbery Investigation: Underway in the 3700 block of Nebraska Avenue NW. No suspect description is currently available.

Dec. 5 – Scooter Theft: After video surveillance footage review, it was determined that three electronic scooters were stolen in the vicinity of LXR Hall located at Georgetown University (GU) on 35th Street NW.

Dec. 5 – Robbery (Force and Violence) Arrests Made: Incident occurred on Dec. 4 in the 1900 block of 12th Street NW. A release with full details on the arrests can be seen here.

 Dec. 5 – Robbery: Incident occurred in the 1200 block of T Street NW. MPD is looking for three black males in their 20’s. Two of them were armed with handguns.

Dec. 5 – Stabbing Investigation: Occurred at 2 a.m. in the 1600 block of New Jersey Avenue NW. No suspect descriptions are available at this time.

Dec. 4 – Assault with Intent to Commit Robbery while Armed (Knife): Incident occurred on Nov. 14 in the 600 block of F Street NW. The victim was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 4 – Aggravated Assault: Incident occurred on Oct. 31 in the 4000 block of Albemarle Street NW. A recently released surveillance photo of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 4 – Stabbing Investigation: Incident occurred in the 3000 block of Van Ness Street NW.

Dec. 4 – Burglary: A GU student reported being awakened by a person who illegally entered their home at Village C West located at 3795 Library Walk.

Dec. 3 – Dating Violence: A GU student reported that they were a survivor of dating violence while on campus.

Dec. 3 – Two Armed Carjacking (Gun) Arrests Made: The incident occurred on Dec. 2 in the 1300 block of Newton Street NW. A release with full details on the arrests can be seen here.

Dec. 3 – MPD Announces Stolen Auto Related Arrests in the District: A MPD press release with full details including names and locations can be seen here.

Dec. 2 – Homicide Arrest Made: MPD announced a homicide arrest that occurred on Nov. 30 in the 1200 block of U Street NW through a press release linked here.

Dec. 2 – Homicide Arrest Made: The incident occurred on Oct. 26 in the 1500 block of Ogden Street NW. A press release with full details is linked here.

Dec. 2 – Armed Robbery (Gun): Incident occurred in the 1700 block of 10th Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for four black males who were last seen in the 900 block of S Street NW.

Dec. 2 – Armed Robbery (Gun): Incident occurred in the 800 block of H Street NW.

Dec. 1 – Homicide Arrest Made: The incident occurred on Oct. 9 in the 4200 block of Kansas Avenue NW. A MPD press release with more details is linked here.

Dec. 1 – Robbery (Snatch): Incident occurred on Nov. 24 in the 6500 block of Piney Branch Road NW. A recently released surveillance photo of the suspect and additional details on the incident can be found here.

Dec. 1 – Robbery (Fear): Incident occurred on Nov. 22 in the 3000 block of 14th Street NW. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 1 – Burglary and Credit Card Fraud: Incident occurred on Nov. 22 in the 2000 block of 17th Street NW. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 1 – Burglary: Incident occurred on Nov. 7 in the 1400 block of Chapin Street NW. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 1 – Burglary: Incident occurred on Nov. 3 in the 4700 block of Connecticut Avenue NW. Recently released video surveillance footage of the suspect can be seen here.

Dec. 1 – Stabbing Alert: Incident occurred in the 1200 block of U Street NW. No suspect description is currently available.

Dec. 1 – Armed Robbery (Gun): Incident occurred in the 900 block of Westminster Street NW. MPD is on the lookout for two black males who were last seen fleeing toward Ninth Street NW.

Nov. 30 – Burglary: A GU student reported that someone gained access into their residence and stole a wallet and an electronic device. The student resides at Village A located at 3773 Prospect Street NW.
