Yet, until recently, the way most events managed this very important component did not get much thought. For decades, the name badge was the principal networking tool. By chance, attendees would notice a name badge, strike up a conversation, and make a contact. Although this works, there is much to be desired in this haphazard approach.Fortunately, with the combination of social media and mobile technologies, there is a plethora of possibilities to improve the networking process. Meetings were the original social media and mobile social tools are a natural to path of development. And the good news is that many of them are free or very low cost!
