Comedy classes can be helpful IF you make sure that the teacher actually knows what they're doing. In today's podcast on Comedian Stories, comedian and keynote speaker Jan McInnis talks about people who teach classes but don't have the credentials to do so.

"Make sure you do your homework on the person teaching the class," McInnis warns. In her podcast, McInnis mentions someone who tried to get her to take a comedy class, but had never actually made a living at stand-up comedy.
