"The Ladder is always there"- The theme of tonight's Irish Contemporary Performance Art Installation was mounted today in Santa Monica.  The live art/dance expression on continuous exhibit at CIACLA.org a new arts cultural center at the Bergamot Station in Santa Monica. Pick up their little red book to find the next program or event.

Tonight on June 15thfrom  6-9pm, the Southland's communities were invited to the launch of the CIACLA's new Summer Program, lifted by Amanda Coogan's 'The Ladder is Always There' live performances offered featuring Amanda Coogan and a selection of local artists.

In a vibrant blue and white gallery functioning like a living and changing ocean of pulsing scrim nettingin tandem with flaming dancers.  This large moving gallery piece creates, changes and transforms perspectives in the viewer who can move, appreciate and take part.

Both piece and partners collaborate in discovering new visions with ghosts suggested by the drape, knots, and pulleys, the music and the ropes.  The patrons like the shoes left either to dangle or to strive and reach stepping out to find new ground.

One should expect the kinetic, the visual, the colorful and the stunning from this featured talented Belfast communicator.  Enjoy your cultural odyssey into the mythic, the moving, the sensory, and become the judge, the experiencer, as well as the maker of its outcome.

This commissioned work of a living, powerful, resourceful innovator, this doctoral artist, Amanda Coogan,  is featured at the new CIACLA (Contemporary Irish Arts Center Los Angeles) opening this weekend suite B1, 2525 Michigan Avenue.  Makes  statement about the culture, exchange, history, herstory of modern Ireland.  It is a fusion of the visual arts, contemporary issues, and discussions.  It is the launching piece of a roil of perspectives, a rush of feminism, a renewal of living history, a self-and group-perspective.  Continue to discover the width and breadth of this work and its leap into it's revelation of the both history and present day Ireland.   Get the red book and join as a new member and/or embrace of the activities and outreach artist leaders, schools and institutions welcoming and reaching back with activities, artists, collaboration and art.

With a chorus of flame colored dancers, newly composed music, and live sound and poetry, it will transform the patron into participant and the distance from viewing into feeling and wondering about "The Ladder that is always there".
