Do you need to make changes to your Medicare plans? Will they cover your medications next year? It’s worth checking your plans for 2026 and making any needed changes before the December 7 open enrollment deadline.
There are several changes for 2026, so you may want to know what to expect next year.
We also hear about formulary changes every year, especially among anticoagulants (blood thinners) and antiarrhythmic drugs. If your plan drops your medications, it could be costly to you, so you may wish to consider a new plan.

Check Your 2026 Medicare Plans—You Have Until December 7 to ChangeThe Medicare open enrollment period ends on December 7. It will be here before we know it.
P.S. If you have or are considering a Medicare Advantage plan for 2026, please know that more and more hospitals and physician practices are dropping Medicare Advantage plans. (We’ve heard of several in just the past few days.) Thus, many patients will no longer have access to their doctors. You may want to confirm with your doctors whether you’ll still be covered to see them next year.
