There was a time before cell phones that comedians could get onstage without the interruption of the phone ringing or the rudeness of someone talking on their phone. These are a couple of the anonying things that have come along with cell phone popularity McInnis points out in her podcast this week. 

She states that cell phones at a live show have brought a whole new dimension to stand up comedy, and it's not always good. She shares a story of working at a casino in Reno, Nevada when cell phones were just getting into mainstream.

"We now are a lot better with cell phones, but when they first got popular for the masses, there were no rules. And that meant some bad behavior by audience members," McInnis states.

Her podcast is produced weekly, every Thursday, and is billed as "Comedian Stories - Tales From the Road in Under 5 Minutes." Humor plus a short story and a take-away tip.
