Carlton Davis is featured in the new documentary film "Of Two Minds," which will premier Saturday March 24 at the 36th Annual Cleveland International Film Festival in Cleveland, Ohio. The highly regarded Cleveland Film Festival promotes artistically and culturally significant film arts through education and exhibition to enrich the life of the world community. The festival is a leader in showing works that have artistic and cultural merit above commercial appeal that educate, entertain, and celebrate the human experience.

Award-winning filmmakers Doug Blush and Lisa Klein have in "Of Two Minds" created a provocative and poignant look at the lives of compelling people living with Bipolar Disorder.  One of three extraordinary people giving a personal account of what it means to be bipolar, Carlton Davis describes the extreme highs and the depressing lows of the disease in this 90-minute film. With riveting stories Mr. Davis, recounts his own history with the condition before he knew he was ill, when he was living a secret life as a cross-dresser and crack addict, and how he came to terms and peace with the roller coaster ride of the disorder. The other featured players in the film are a bipolar couple struggling with living together, and a journalist whose openness on YouTube paves the way for global understanding of the nature of Bipolar Disorder

The film will be shown three times at the festival. The second showing, on Sunday, March 25, will be in conjunction with a film forum during which the filmmakers, Carlton Davis, and the others featured in the film will discuss Bipolar Disorder. The last showing will be on Monday March 26.

"OF TWO MINDS" is an important film that brings the viewer closer to a widespread disorder that many know little about, but they are bombarded with false information by the entertainment and news media. This film will open minds to the reality of the condition and fill your heart with compassion and humor. For as a smiling Carlton Davis says in the film "It's rather interesting to be crazy."
