Golden, Colorado – June 19, 2019

Golden CO- Someday we will all face the inevitable dilemma of being a caregiver. The options we have to keep aging parents, spouses, and loved ones at home or place them in a care home can be overwhelming and daunting. The experience leads to stress and unexpected tragedies.  One exceptional woman is paving the way to share proven solutions and resources for caregivers and aging adults.

John caregiving expert, Pamela D. Wilson and CUTV news radio host Doug Llewelyn on Thursday, June 20th at 11 am MST, 1 pm EST. Pamela will be talking about caregiver exhaustion.

Pamela is a proven and trustworthy caregiving expert, advocate, and speaker and author of the book The Caregiving Trap.  Her mission is to reach and help as many caregivers as possible throughout the United States to avoid the pitfalls of caregiving.

According to Pamela, "I've seen the best and worse of the caregiving and healthcare systems. I know what can happen that caregivers and aging adults have no way of predicting. My 20+ years of experience help caregivers avoid unexpected crises and reduce caregiving stress."

This week's radio interview with Doug Llewelyn of CUTV News Radio discusses the subject of "Why is Caregiving So Exhausting Even When You Love Your Parents."

Many caregivers become exhausted and burned out because the role and responsibilities of caregiving are unexpected and time-consuming. A simple doctor appointment can turn into an all-day affair of waiting and waiting and waiting. An unexpected illness can pull a caregiver away from work for a day or more.

Family members and outsiders are quick to judge and criticize the actions of caregivers. Few truly understand what it's like to be a caregiver. Because of caregiver judgment, they hesitate to ask for help and to ask questions. Caregivers need help but don't know where to turn for trusted and reliable information.

Pamela's website features information about online courses, frequently asked questions about caregiving support, what is a caregiving webinar, a caregiving library, newsletter, and caregiving blog – about 500 pages of helpful information available 24/7.

Pamela is also active on social media posting a live video almost every day on her Facebook Page.  There are over 100 videos already posted. She also has a caregiving group on Facebook called The Caregiving Trap, which is named after her book. Videos were also recently added to her channel on Roku called Caregiving TV to reach out to caregivers who may prefer to receive caregiving information through one of America's greatest past times – watching television.

All of Pamela's support is online. Caregivers don't have to leave home to take one of her caregiving courses and can join from anywhere there is a computer and an Internet connection. Her interactive courses and live support help caregivers gain confidence that caregiving situations can improve.

CUTV news will feature Pamela Wilson in a series of interviews. The next interview is on Thursday, June 27th at 1 p.m. EST with Jim Masters. A series of 4 additional interviews are scheduled for July 11, July 18, July 25, and August 1st at 11 am MST.
