Welcome to the Chicagoland Evaluation Association’s (CEA) week of AEA 365. We are Asma Ali, President and Rebecca Teasdale, Treasurer of CEA. CEA begin many years ago as a forum for evaluation professionals and students in the Chicagoland area to network, exchange ideas and knowledge, and participate in professional development activities that promote excellence in evaluation. This week, we continue this tradition of being a local learning space for evaluators by featuring the diverse work of members of our community.
As practicing evaluators and leaders of our local affiliate, we constantly think about how to create opportunities to learn, grow and enrich our evaluation practice?  One benefit of our participation has been expanded national and local evaluation network, which are highlighted for our 4th annual CEA blog. CEA has organized a broad selection of posts that address the work and contexts of our members including post about evaluation methods, evaluation context, and evaluation communities.
Rad Resource #1:  CEA Affiliate Website.  Are you in the Chicagoland and surrounding area, looking to collaborate with someone based in Chicago, or interested in our professional development opportunities?  Check out the CEA website or email info@chicagoeval.org for more information.
Rad Resource #2:  AEA Local Affiliates.   Are you involved in your local AEA affiliate?  A list of affiliates, contact information, websites, conference archives, helpful links and a variety of evaluation websites can be found here: https://www.eval.org/affiliate.
Rad Resource #3:  Midwest Speaker’s Exchange.  Several midwestern affiliates are involved in a Speakers’ Exchange Program. The program will be described in Friday’s post. If you are interested in bringing and speaker to your affiliate or group, please reach out to info@chicagoeval.org.
