Comprehensive Writing Guide for All Media

MIAMI, FL – October 14, 2012 – Margo Berman will have a Book Discussion and Release Party

on Saturday, November 10th from 6:00 to 9:00 P.M. at Books & Books, 265 Aragon Avenue, Coral Gables. This event will celebrate the launch of her third book, The Copywriter's Toolkit: The Complete Guide to Strategic Advertising Copy. She will personally discuss how to create powerful messages for all media and platforms, from traditional print and broadcast to digital, interactive, ambient and social media.

In this 424-page book (ISBN 978-1-4051-9953-7), she demonstrates how successful solutions are based on clear creative briefs, consumer insights and specific strategies. She also showcases which writing techniques work best for each medium, offers insightful one-on-one interviews with award-winning copywriters, and presents more than 100 visual examples of exceptional writing. Each chapter explores the writing process, medium-by-medium, from strategy to message development and execution.

Margo's first book, Street-Smart Advertising: How to Win the Battle of the Buzz (ISBN 978-1-4422-0335-8), explains what creates a buzz in today's challenging marketplace. In 2006 and 2008, Rowman & Littlefield Publishers released the first and updated editions. Since then, it has gone global and is in the UK, Australia, India and Russia (in Russian). Written in an easy-to-read style, Street-Smart Advertising demonstrates specific techniques to develop well-targeted messages and promotional campaigns that will be noticed. This handy guide is packed with excellent visual examples, comments by top creative talents, powerful advertising techniques, and more. The accompanying 12-part webinar series, Street-Smart Advertising and More Street-Smart Advertising, won a national AWC Clarion Award in 2008.

In her second book, The Brains Behind Great Ad Campaigns: Creative Collaboration between Copywriters and Art Directors, Berman delivers a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process and explains how teams collaborate at major agencies to create unforgettable campaigns. This 224-page work (ISBN 0-7425-5551-8) shows how creative briefs drive on-strategy solutions in all media from traditional to digital. It examines which campaigns went off-course and why, and includes comments from industry creative leaders and on-point visual examples.

All three books are available from www.barnesandnoble.com, www.amazon.com and through all major bookstores. Internationally, they are also available on these sites www.whsmith.co.uk (U.K.) and www.flipkart.com (India), the publisher's Web sites http://rowmanlittlefield.com and www.wiley.com); and on the author's Web site, www.UnlockTheBlock.com.
