The San Francisco Comedy Competiton is one of the most prestigeous competitions in the country for comedians. In her podcast Comedian Stories: Tales From the Road in Under 5 Minutes, comedian Jan McInnis talks about the time she was a contestant in the competition.

Hundreds of comedians have been invovled in the compeition, and 2019 is it's 44th year of running. McInnis includes a quick overview of the event, as well as what she felt she got out of competing. 

McInnis's podcast is a compilation of short stories of her 25+ years as a full-time comedian, and now keynote speaker. Each podcast kicks off with one of her clean jokes, then a short story, and wraps up with a take-away tip of what she learned from the experience.
