Why would someone spend the time and energy to impersonate a celebrity or political figure? There are many reasons besides money. As seen on late night TV and Saturday Night Live, some of the best impersonators are comedians, because there's joke and comedic timing invovled.

In this episode of Comedian Stories Podcast, comedian Jan McInnis gives you the inside scoop on some of the things it takes be an impersonator. McInnis was a Hillary Clinton impersonator during both election campaigns.

"Tom Cruise makes it look really easy in the Mission Impossible movies, to slap on and peel off a mask. But that's not really the case," said McInnis. She notes that the process is a bit more involved than that.

McInnis's weekly podcast is titled "Comedian Stories: Tales From the Road in Under 5 Minutes." Each week, she includes a short story about her 25 years in comedy, as well as one of her clean jokes, and a take-away tip from what she learned.
