Family-focused online retailer KidSmartLiving.com makes it easy for concerned shoppers to avoid BPA in plastic glasses and dinnerware. In its recently launched video "How to Tell if Plastic Glasses are BPA-Free" and its Quick Links to BPA-Free Products, KidSmartLiving gives shoppers the tools they need to identify BPA-free plastics wherever they shop, in stores or online.

"Plastic glasses and dishes made from acrylic, polypropylene, melamine, Tritan, and a durable acrylic blend called SAN are -- and have always been -- BPA-free," says Krista Fabregas, KidSmartLiving.com's founder. "Shoppers can be sure to avoid BPA by choosing items made from one of these plastics instead of goods made from a plastic called polycarbonate, the only tableware plastic containing BPA."

The company's latest video shows three easy ways to do that, including how to spot items made from polycarbonate; what manufacturers' labeling on plastic items can tell you; and what recycling codes really mean when it comes to identifying plastic items.

"Whether shoppers are seeking tableware made from a specific type of plastic or trying to avoid BPA in general, our goal is to make it easy to find just what they're looking for," says Fabregas. "That's why we launched our BPA-free tips video and created a section dedicated to BPA-free plastic dishes, glasses and tableware on our website."
