The mission of the American Association for Justice (AAJ) is to promote a fair and effective justice system and to support attorneys in their efforts to ensure that any person injured by the misconduct or negligence of others can obtain justice in American courtrooms, even when taking on the most powerful interests.

The sentiment expressed in the AAJ's mission is at the heart of aviation attorney Tim Loranger and his practice at Baum, Hedlund, Aristei & Goldman where he has long dedicated himself to protecting consumers from unsafe products, unfair business practices and negligent corporate conduct. Perhaps that is why Mr. Timothy Loranger is a natural fit as the AAJ's Education Planner for the Aviation Law Section, a position to which he was appointed earlier this month.

Among the position's many duties, the education planner works with AAJ Education staff and the National College of Advocacy (NCA) Board of Trustees throughout the year to plan a continuing legal education (CLE) program for the annual convention.

As a partner at Baum Hedlund, Tim concentrates his practice on product liability, as well as aviation and ground transportation litigation. Tim has litigated numerous aviation accident cases stemming from negligent design, operation and maintenance. This experience, coupled with his varied background in science and mechanics, provides Tim with unique insights into finding and proving the causes of aviation accidents.

Tim's passion for aviation developed at an early age and has been a constant presence throughout his life. It was a part of his decision to serve our country as a United States Marine. During this time, Tim worked as an aircraft mechanic at the Marine Corps and Navy Air Stations in El Toro, San Diego, Memphis and Jacksonville, primarily on RF-4b, F/A-18 and C-130 aircraft at both the squadron and intermediate levels. He also served in Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

As a Marine, Tim learned the true meaning of service, honor, compassion, perseverance, and dedication, which are essential traits of a principled attorney.

In addition to his appointment as the AAJ's Education Planner for the Aviation Law Section, aviation attorney Tim Loranger is a proud member of Consumer Attorneys of California and the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles (CAALA), where he sits on the Board of Governors and other committees. He has dedicated time outside of the courtroom to lobbying for improved consumer safety legislation, and has been an advocate for victim's rights and equal access to justice.
