FreePrintable.net has relaunched its popular website, AsAPercent.com, which can now calculate percentages from either decimals or fractions.
"This is a handy website for students and teachers, and now it's even easier to use," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "You can now enter any fraction into the site and generate not only a percentage but a helpful pie chart that illustrates the ratio."
The site is still free and easy to use. Two options are available: a bar to enter a decimal number, and a bar to enter one number out of another number. Either the decimal or the fraction will create the proper percentage.
Users can now also simply choose from pre-generated categories of decimals (one, two, or three decimal places) and fractions (0 to 9 over 1 to 100). These can be useful for those who are learning about increments or who are interested in patterns.
"It's nice to take a great site and make it even better," Savetz said. "With more resources, illustrations and ease of use, I think this site will be helpful to everyone learning about mathematics."
AsAPercent.com is sister site to AsAFraction.com, which can convert any decimal (up to 10 decimal places) into a fraction, and TeachersPrintables.net, which features more than 1,300 classroom printables for teachers, parents and students.
There are nearly 100 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free printables sites created by Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
