Artfully Creative Tablescaping Can Make for a More Soothing and Nurturing Meal.

Before quarantine, we were constantly running around, eating on the go with conflicting family schedules. Dinner was just another chore. Now, there's more time, time to give to better living, to give towards making the simple experiences of life more soothing and nurturing.

One easy way to do that is with creative tablescaping. Instead of just grabbing a plate and sitting down in front of the TV, make dinner special. A little extra time creating beauty can make a big difference in your meal and it will change your outlook on life. A little creativity to your dining table can make every day a special occasion.

Instead of dinner being a chore, it can be a source of inspiration and creativity. What are you going to cook tonight? What can you use to make it look more festive? What items can celebrate the food and create a fun atmosphere to eat in?

You will have lots of fun finding things around the house to make it more festive. It could be a vase of flowers, or some olive oil can on a red and white tablecloth for your favorite lasagna. You can create a theme and have your favorite Hemingway book out while you eat your conch fritters. Use some colorful napkins and beads for Mardi Gras Crawfish. Use an Angel figurine for a centerpiece for your angel-hair pasta. Your imagination has no limits.

Have fun shopping for unique plates or napkins that you can mix and match to add more variety to your tablescapes. You don't have to buy a whole set, having a couple of accent plates may be just the thing to create your desired mood.

Get inspired, create something beautiful, make a ritual. You will find that dinner will become a time to relax, to get inspired., to enjoy your loved one(s)You will enjoy your food more and you will eat slower and digest better.

Beauty has a way of soothing the soul, creativity nurtures your spirit. Spending a few minutes a day creating beauty will bring much more joy into your life.
