We dedicate ourselves to taking action to move forward by ignoring the nastiness and pursuing what we envision. Most of all, those of us willing to take risks to advance our goals adhere to the motto,

“Never give up but find a better way!”

My Story:

Over time, I learned to laugh at negativity and view it as ‘the next challenge!’ Particularly at a time when the challenges of women are finally coming to light, we must strive to do our best and help one another move forward.

As a stay-at-home Mom

I was a successful entrepreneur. However, my attempt to enter the corporate sales arena took grit to overcome the nastiness hailed at me. Not wanting to let my family down, I pursued the first job.

Harrowing Corporate Story

It took six grueling interviews to be able to sell an unknown brand of copier door-to-door against Xerox! Did I want the job? Not! BUT it was the first step to a better one (boy, was I wrong!).

Determination and grit paved the way:

· The awful corporate encounters made me stronger

· A public speaking class reinforced my style of communication that clients loved

· Every year, I had to interview for a new job as my accounts were handed over to the men, paving the way to interviewing well.

Return to Entrepreneurship

Long ago, my community work delivered inspiring keynotes at conferences to help the women in the audience realize they can do so much more. I have had the good fortune of being a guest on notable podcasts to continue delivering motivating messaging and inspire people to continue their journey. 

Local friends had no idea why I still wanted to work and thought my striving for equality was nonsense. So I quickly said ‘Yes!’ to learning how to use social media upon its initial release. The effort is ongoing and combines my past ambitions and hopes for the future:

Meeting people globally and working on behalf of diversity, equity, and inclusion is a long-held dream come true. I thrive on connecting with leaders in varying fields who work toward helping the population move forward by sharing their best insights.
