LOS ANGELES — An overview of all-news properties launches our four-part series of April 2018 ratings recaps.
The following scoreboards reflect data from all-news stations that appeared in the top 20 (6+) in April 2018, a ratings period that covered March 29 – April 25 – and one that was not especially kind to this particular format.
Nielsen Audio only releases audience estimates for facilities that subscribe to its services. As a result, ratings stats in this exclusive analysis are limited to stations that pay Nielsen Audio for its data.
While the vast majority of outlets on this particular panel program news around-the-clock, a few run talk blocks (in addition to their news commitment), making them genuine news – talk hybrids.
All but four properties listed here are owned by Entercom. The exceptions are WBZ-AM, Boston and KFBK, Sacramento (both iHeartMedia); WTOP, Washington, DC (Hubbard); and KOMO, Seattle (Sinclair Broadcast Group).
Appearing in the Baltimore report, Bloomberg-operated WDCH airs a business news format.
