The gardens of Tudor Place were glowing Wednesday evening as Georgetown residents, preservationists and supporters gathered for the annual Spring Garden Party, one of the neighborhood’s most anticipated social traditions.

Executive Director Mary-Frances Wain welcomed attendees who arrived in spring florals, wide-brimmed hats and pastel attire, mingling beneath white tents and among the historic estate’s grounds. The event celebrated Tudor Place’s continuing mission to preserve the Federal-era mansion and expand its educational and community programming.

The evening featured cocktails, food and live music as attendees wandered through the gardens and reconnected with friends. Conversations flowed across the estate’s terraces and pathways while guests admired the lush spring blooms.

Past garden parties have honored community leaders and longtime patrons while raising critical funds for preservation and operations at the historic landmark.

Founded in 1805 and once home to descendants of Martha Washington, Tudor Place remains one of Georgetown’s architectural and cultural treasures. Wednesday’s celebration once again blended history, philanthropy and neighborhood charm, offering guests an elegant evening in one of Washington’s most storied gardens.
