As the days get colder and the holidays approach, many people are spending more time indoors trying out new recipes. For home chefs like these, FreePrintableRecipeCards.net has added 30 new
printable recipe cards featuring animals and delicious-looking food.
"A lot of people like to branch out into cooking different cultural foods," said Kevin Savetz, the site's creator. "I wanted these new cards to reflect that sense of expansion."
Some of the new templates are ethnic food
recipe cards and include pictures of Asian noodles, German sausage, salsa and sushi. All of them have bright, colorful borders and can help identify the recipe at a glance.
The rest of the new additions are
animal recipe cards. These bright, fun templates are decorated with cute cartoon pictures of cows, pigs, birds and ladybugs.
The recipe cards come in three lined sizes: 3x5, 4x6 and, occasionally, a full-page 8x10. PDF files are free, while customizable DOC files cost $7 and can be edited in a Word processor such as Microsoft Word, so users can type their recipes directly onto the card and save and use the cards again and again. There are over 185 templates to choose from, all of which can be downloaded and printed from a home computer.
"I recommend printing on cardstock," Savetz said. "It makes for sturdier recipe cards that last a lot longer."
There are more than 80 sites in the FreePrintable.net family of free
printables sites created by
Savetz Publishing, Inc., a company devoted to creating useful and informative web sites of interest to consumers and small businesses.
