Matt Freije, president of HC Info, has focused on preventing Legionnaires' disease since 1995. He has solved Legionella problems in building water systems, given speeches and interviews, written articles, taught courses, written HACCP plans, developed a software application, and served as an expert in lawsuits. His first book, Legionellae Control in Health Care Facilities: A Guide for Minimizing Risk, has sold in more than 30 countries. His latest book, Protect Yourself from Legionnaires' Disease, includes survivor stories and recommendations for avoiding infection. Freije earned an engineering degree from Purdue University and a graduate certificate in epidemiology and biostatistics from Drexel University.
