Question
Are niche markets good places for beginning screenwriters?
I am writing a series of articles about niche film markets and I'm looking for insight into the niche film market, what it is, how it differs from genre films, and if a niche market is a good place for beginning screenwriters to start. Samples of niches covered are: Direct-to-DVD, Faith based films, African-American, Gay/Lesbian, Direct-to-Cable. Do you have insights into these markets? I would love to hear from you. Thanks.
