Deeply personal and unflinching, All Is Well: A Memoir of Loss, Survival, and Inner Strength is an autobiography about Matin Miryeganeh (Mah-TEEN Meer-yeh-GAH-neh), a senior research scientist who has survived immense trauma—not only in the world outside, but also within the walls of her own home. After losing her mother, grandparents, and other close family members in quick succession in addition to a complex and sometimes volatile relationship with her father, a young Matin was left emotionally neglected and profoundly alone in her own household. With no one to turn to, she buried herself in books, studying with quiet determination to create a future no one else believed in.

She moved from Iran to Japan in hope of a fresh start and to further her education, but the challenges didn't end there. In adulthood, Matin endured sexual violence, institutional betrayal, and the crushing aftermath of being unheard and unsupported. All Is Well traces her journey through these compounding traumas—and her decision, time and again, to keep going.

About Matin Miryeganeh: Matin is a molecular ecologist who earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in plant systematics and ecology. She got her degrees from two of the top national universities in Iran with a full academic scholarship. She later moved to Japan as a MEXT doctoral scholar, completed postdoctoral work at leading Japanese research institutions as a JSPS fellow, and has been supported by major national awards, including two KAKENHI grants and the JST FOREST program. Matin's debut memoir, All Is Well, chronicles her journey from a turbulent childhood in Iran to building a life and career in Japan. Beyond the lab, she is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast.
